Norwegian Railway Museum

The Norwegian Railway Museum was opened in 1866 in the town of Hamar. This museum is one of the oldest in Norway. On its exhibition grounds can be seen station buildings of different ages, and the first locomotives and passenger cars. In addition, there is a library where you can read the literature on the railway theme, see photos, technical drawings, illustrations and other memorabilia exhibits. During the summer, the museum demonstrates the movies that tell about the history of the railroad.

To get to the Hamar of Oslo is on the trains that run regularly between the two cities. In addition, the lake Mjøsa go modern boats and motor boats, as well as the steamer which comes in Hamar on schedule.
