National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design
National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design was founded in 2003 through the merger of the collections of the Museum of Applied Arts, Architecture Museum, the National Gallery and the Museum of Modern Art.
To date, the museum contains the most interesting and memorable works as Norwegian and international artists and painters. Among the museum displays can see pictures of Norwegian painter, graphic and expressionist Edvard Munch, as well as the works of such great masters as Claude Monet, Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and many others.
To get to the Museum of Art, Architecture and Design can be on the subway, to go to the station Nationaltheatret. You can also take tram number 10, 11, 17 or 18, get off at the bus stop to Tullinlokka.
