Norwegian Glacier Museum

Norwegian Glacier Museum was opened in the National Park Jostedalsbreen in 1991. Exposition of the museum tell about the appearance of glaciers and their crucial role in the ecosystem of the Earth. 

The main architect of the building was Sverre Olav Dryer. He managed to create a surprisingly flexible concrete and plastic construction that resembles in form a huge glacier. Museum in perfect harmony with the surrounding natural environment, consists of a number of triangular and cylindrical space. 

To get to the Sognefjord, in the territory of which the Norwegian Glacier Museum, can be on the plane, speed boat, train, express bus or car.
